Soap

I finished redoing one of the old cheeseboxes. I don't know what I am putting in it yet. I think I might use it to do seasonal displays. Have to wait until I get the mess I made cleaned up and then decide.
I worked on my hall chair some more too. Another coat of paint, a little sanding, some waxing and it should be done. I did get some hooks to put on the top of the inside. Can't wait to get it all done.

I had to take it back down to my workshop in the basement and hopefully when it comes back up tomorrow it will be done. then I can rearrange my entry way. I hope it fits and looks alright.
I hope you are all having a great weekend.

  1. You could put the soap in the prim box! LOL
JK- I think the soap is supposed to look rustic. It's the second batch I've seen and the other looked just like this. In fact, she even likened it to poop. She threw hers away but I think it might look cool on an old chippy saucer. My friend Pam pours her soap into a tray, lets it harden and then cuts it into bars. Hers is actually made to use. Somehow, I don't think yours is, but it would look and smell awesome on display!

  3. I think that is how the soap is supposed to look.Love the cheesebox makeover, they had one at auction yesterday and I thought about buying it to makeover but then decided it would just be another thing I'd never get to.I always have a full plate and am getting better at realizing there are some things that will just sit in the corner. The chair is turning out wonderful.Warm Blessings!~Amy

  4. Hi Kat, I have never tried making soap so no help from me. I love the old cheesebox, I have three in a stack. I love old boxes, round, square or whatever.
The chair is looking good, can't wait to see the finished product.
