WAITING WAITING WAITING

Still no magazine. Holy cow it is like being a kid and waiting for Christmas. I am moving to Mass so I can get one as soon as they come out lol.

This is just some stuff I picked up at Goodwill to refinish, all together it was only $6.00. Good deal.
I made these for the store, and one for myself of course. The sign is a house number and I will make them to order. Some have different stuff other than a crow on top.
Same thing different without the house number sign.
A little shelf I bought and refinished in black. Sanded and waxed. Compared to what it was it looks great.

Now back to finishing some blocks, and then to do some sewing.
Oh I went to our local Marden's store today, kind of like a big lots type thing but not really. They buy out stores that are going out of business or end of season stock. They actually carry a lot of brand name stuff like thimbleberries, moda, stuff like that. They had these perfect jars for 10 cents each. I am going to use them with my labels when I get them done. I can't wait. I love that store, you never know what you are going to find.
How about labels like this??? lol Too funny.
Having a good night, hope you are too

A Primitive Place Magazine

Has anyone received their new spring magazine yet?
I just want to know whether I should start making a trip to the post office a little more regularly.
I am so excited I can't wait.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

New Online Store

The store where I sell some of my crafts is now online. https://www.maineworksofheart.com/default.asp. It is exclusively Made in Maine products. I do some the signs/picture frames, flameless grungy candles, and some other stuff. There are a lot of very talented crafters. Check it out if you get a minute.

Tea Staining.

I was tea staining some washcloths. Well grunging them up. So I dipped them in my tea mixture of tea, vanilla, a few walnut crystals and who knows what else is in that pot. Anyway instead of throwing them in the oven to dry.
I put the cookie sheet on top of the woodstove and cooked them there. They came out great.
I had to be really watchful lol. Some got a little more grungy than expected. I just replaced the picture with a box. I made the grungy candles too but those are just a quick project that makes my kitchen smell so good for days. mm love the smell of cinnamon.

Hope everyone is getting shoveled out. We lucked out again and only got a couple of inches of snow.

New Patterns

I got my disk of patterns from Tennessee Ridge Primitives. I am very excited. I am sewing, sewing, sewing, this weekend. I hope they come out at least close to the ones she makes. I actually got it on e-bay.
I am sure most of you have been to her blog but here is the link for those of you who haven't and would like to.

I got to see my son this weekend. He seems to be doing really well.
Oh I should take a picture of my kitchen table. It is all cleaned off. It doesn't stay that way very long though. Every time we come in the house everything gets dropped there. Eventually it all gets put away, but that might take a bit depending on what it is. Or if I am crafting something.
Well I hope everyone is not buried in snow. I hope everyone is having a great week.
Until later.
