Recycling tip!

Take a bunch of trash, paper, wood, anything that will burn. Spread it out all over your yard. Light it on fire! Watch carefully lol! It will help melt the six feet of snow out there and then the ashes will be fertilizer. The smoke just looks rustic. Well as long as you don't make the piles too big. Then the smoke attracts the fire dept.
Having a great weekend.

No Crafts In The Kitchen!

Note to self! No crafts in the kitchen... Or maybe...
No crafts in kitchen except on the drying rack... Or maybe....
No crafts in kitchen except the drying rack, and maybe the oven when needed... Or maybe...
No crafts in kitchen except the drying rack, and maybe the oven when needed and the counter when tea staining..... Or maybe...
No crafts in kitchen except the drying rack, and maybe the oven when needed and the counter when tea staining and maybe the table if I need a big space to work on... Or maybe....
No crafts in kitchen except the drying rack, and maybe the oven when needed and the counter when tea staining and maybe the table if I need a big space to work on and if I have company to do crafts with.... Or maybe....
Oh heck whose bright idea was it to not do crafts in the kitchen anyway... Maybe I need to use one of the other five bedrooms to do crafts in besides the bedroom I use for a craft room lol. Maybe I need to build a craft shop to just use for crafting...
There's a hole in the bottom of the sea......
I hope you all are having a great weekend too..

My visit south and my finds

I went to a flea market and a few antique stores when I went downstate to take my son back to college this weekend. :( I hate taking him back.
Anyway this is what I found. Not sure if it is great but it is great to me. I guess that is the idea.  The coverlet is for my spare room. It is really heavy but thin and I like the design. It isn't old but I like it. Got it from a shop called Blessings in Brunswick Maine. Specializes in Vintage decor.
The jug I got from the flea markey for $12 and the plate is one of the wheat ironstone plates but she gave it to me for $8, the green stamps were a dollar for all. I wanted them because when we were little my mom would give us a bowl with canned milk in it and have us use that to glue the greenstamps in for her. Then she would let us look through the little catalogs to see what we should get with them. It was fun for a rainy Sunday for me, my mom and my bossy big sister lol. I am going to frame them in a shadow box I think. Probably just special to me but I think that is what Prim is. Memories and treasures from the past.  (So how did I do for my first treasure hunt? And boy if I hadn't had the car full of my son's things to take back, there would be tons more stuff because it was fun. We walked into that flea market, it was huge, and my son said he thought "OH God mom is never going to leave here.)

Scavenger Hunt #1

Wow this was harder than I thought it would be. Especially when you have no antique stores in your area. NONE. Stinks.
Iron stone plate, homespun pillow from spare bedroom, old mason jar with daisy and forget me nots, and a doll with no face, (she barely has a head, much less a face lol. 4 out of 6
