I have been reading and seeing how much snow has fallen the past few weeks all over the states. A few years back we set all time records with 10-12 feet of snow. I could stand on the snow drifts outside my front windows and look down into my house. You couldnt see out the windows on the first floor at all. By the end of winter, there was a path from our driveway to the house that was quite long because there was no place to put the snow. We had to park at the end, by the road and walk the path to the house. What a treat that was.
So now I read about all the snow family and friends are getting, and telling us to take it back, because yesterday's storm brought us another 1-3 inches. The winds were terrible though, and they blew all the snow into the fields or the woods. Last year we had to plow only about two times, the rest we could take care of with shovels. I am quite happy with the little respite we are getting from the snow.
I think our family in PA and friends in Indiana and all over have gotten a lot more snow than us. Sorry. I would come and help shovel but I am trying to get this blog up and running lol.
Well more another time.
Kathy

I know here in Minnesota, we have had our fair share! In fact, it's snowing yet again, another 3" worth I hear. I am definatley tired of it!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying some hot java right now, just got home from work. It's going to be very cold by the weekend. I am so happy, I have to work, and drive in it at night time! Not really, I was being kinda sassy! LOL!
I hope you will have a good evening.
Blessings,
Renee

ReplyDeleteWell living in Texas I have never witnessed 10 to 12 feet of snow. And I must admit that does not sadden me.8-) I love to see the pics though, and if I lived where it did snow it would just be a way of life I know. Much like the 100 plus, dry with no rain days of our summer. It is just life in Texas.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and warm!!
Blessings,
Lorna
Kathy ,
ReplyDeleteHow I love the name Katherine ! I think it is so regal and queenly and intriguing !
Not plain like mine ~ Linda .
Snow is NOT one of the elements that I enjoy !
But , since I live in PA, I have to deal with it.
Stay warm !
Hugs,
Linda
We lived in California for about three years a while back. It was in a valley and the summers were terrible. 100 degrees and that is yuck. You can always put more clothes on but you can only take so many off. Setting under the air conditioner doesn't give the same effect as setting in front of the fireplace. So I will stay in Maine. Especially since everyone else is getting the snow right now.
