Cabinet I made for my son

My son is in college majoring in food science, oooo a scientist. So I made him a cabinet to keep all of his spices and cookbooks that he uses for his concoctions. Most actually come out really great.
Anyway here is the cabinet I made for him out of an old basement window someone was throwing away and gave me instead.

I don't have the same stuff on top of it but I really like it.

This cabinet I made for my willow tree angels. My son and friends got these for me for different occasions. My son brought me home the complete Nativity set a couple weeks ago. They aren't exactly primitive but very special.
I love it.

  1. Hi, Kat!
Nice job on the cabinet. I'm sure he will love it!
I did my drawing tonight and matched names with the numbers they chose. I drew your name and matched you with #5. If you could please send me your address, I will get this package out to you ASAP.
BTW~I won't be posting the wins until tomorrow morning.

  2. Thank you. That is amazing, I never win anything. I am very excited.

  3. Both the cabinets you made are very nice. I really like how you used the old window in the first cabinet. Congrat's! I see from Lindas comment you won the giveaway. I did get to see the blanket crane tutorial. Oh but i would still like to see yours too sometime. Blessings!

  4. wow Awesome job on the cabinets... I think the Willow Tree angles are Prim if in a prim cabinet they set it off ... So good Idea.

  5. Oh Kat you did an awesome job!! I have a ton of old windows and might just have to give that a try. We are trying to get our woodshop set up again after five years of not having one. Great idea for the willow trees, I have some of those too.
    Have a great day!!

  6. Kathy,

The cupboards you made are just perfect !

What a great idea on how to use the window !

    I won't go near a saw !

    have a fun weekend !

  7. Oh I so love woodworking. When I was 36 I had a heart attack and they told me at rehab I couldn't use my tools for awhile, a cried like a baby.

  8. I am just in awe of your talent! Love that cabinet using a basement window!
