HELP!

I have bought muslin, osnaburg, linen, and a cream colored homespun. Now they have all been nicely organized in a box for easy access. How am I supposed to tell them apart now? I have this box dumped all over my living room floor. Not a clue. The muslin is pretty much a given but all the other stuff. NOT SO MUCH. I could even be wrong about the muslin. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help!

  1. onasburg is darker, grainy and gritty , homespun is lighter weight than muslin and ravels on the edges ! GOOD LUCK ! hugs lilraggedyangie

  4. LOL oh no!
I have never been good at naming fabrics either.
Homespun will have a clean, string fray, (not fuzzy) and has a woven like, sometimes heavier weight. I have always thought of osnaburg as a light beige fabric with specks, ?, isn't muslin thinner that linen? lol You know what, Google it. lol I might make it worse. lol

  5. I've been thinking that I'm going to start pinning a note on fabrics when I bring them home listing their name and where I bought them. That way if I need more, I know where to start looking! LOL
