Finally Done

Well starting a project is one thing but you would think after all these years of home repair I would have learned that nothing is as easy as it seems. I started painting the walls (bottom half), then decided oh I should paint the top too, well that will make the ceiling look crappy. So I started at the top and worked my way down and got it done. I was going to paint my china hutch but once I got the walls done I kind of like the wood so I am leaving it for a bit longer.
So it is mostly done now. I still have to clean the paint specks off the floor but I will do that tomorrow. I need a little me time and crafting time.

I haven't closed the cabinets yet because I want to wait a few days for them to really dry. I really love this color. I wasn't sure when I painted the first wall but now that it is all done I love it.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

  1. Looks great Kat. I love that prim color. Painting is such a chore. I find that once you start then you see other things need to be done to go with it. I did that with our bathroom. Started out changing the shower curtain and before long I had found that I needed to paint the ceiling, walls, and base boards. But it is done now.
Hope you get some me time in now that the kitchen is done.

  2. Kat, I love the color you chose and it looks perfectly prim. I laughed when I started reading this post - nothing is ever as easy as you think and our problem is it seems to take like 5 times longer than I originally anticipated it taking. So much for the weekend project that turns into a month long mess! Thanks for sharing your great redo pictures. ~Ann
